Responsibilities:



This position is available in Customer Service Training Development with a large, stable employer in Columbia, SC. Primary responsibilities are coordination and oversight of training material development used for educating employees via classroom training as well as coordination of efforts to develop and implement continuing education programs. This position will supervise a team of trainers who primarily develop the training materials for a wide variety of audiences that includes classroom, on the job training, or one-on-one training. This team may also deliver highly specialized training to smaller segments of the user groups supported as well as assist in delivery of segments of the new hire classes. As well, the successful candidate will work closely with supervisors of the Training Delivery teams to ensure successful implementation of programs. Other responsibilities include serving as systems experts during the design phase of system enhancements, execution of test plans and the development of corresponding training materials. The selected candidate will interact extensively with the Contact Centers, Business Offices, Customer Service Operations, Marketing, Business Systems Management, and multiple Information Systems Technology (IST) application areas. This position will also be responsible for performance management and development of their employees by assessing their strengths and areas of improvement and providing assistance, coaching and training opportunities to further develop their skills as professional training developers.



Required Skills:

The qualified candidate must have:

- proven leadership and team building skills used to effectively lead, develop, coach and influence employees,

- the ability to conduct performance management

- excellent written and verbal communications and presentation /facilitation skills,

- proficiency with Microsoft Office products including PowerPoint and Word,

- the ability to give and receive feedback regarding training plans and effective of training tools,

- excellent writing skills to develop and maintain training documentation,

- the ability to periodically support non-traditional work schedules (including nights and weekends)

- the ability to travel regionally on short notice.

- must be flexible to accommodate changing work responsibilities including fulfilling a leadership role in the company.



Formal leadership experience in a training environment is highly desired.



Knowledge of multi-media publishing software such as Articulate, Adobe Captivate and Verint Witness Impact 360 eLearning is a plus.



Education:

Requires BS/BA in related discipline. Generally 5+ years experience in training development or delivery and supervisory experience.
