| Description:
OVERVIEW: The Project Manager's role is to provide management of all projects, including turnkey construction projects. The Project Manager is the advocate for Customer Satisfaction. The Project Manager plays a proactive role in problem identification and resolution by highlighting these areas and assisting other departments in solving issues which affect project performance. KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES PROPOSAL STAGE: Provide assistance to the Commercial Support Department in providing construction cost interface from the Installation Contractor. Manage the preliminary design process as it pertains to the solicitation of bids from Installation Contractors and other suppliers. Provide guidance to Sales and Commercial Support in the fine-tuning of the project scope and pre-award budgets. The Project Manager will also be utilized in the contract pre-award stage to ensure clear definitions of project scope of work, schedule and appropriate budget control. Participate in proposal clarification meetings held between company and prospective clients as needed. PROJECT AWARD STAGE: At the time of project order (and subsequent project kick-off meeting) the Project Manager assumes full customer interface for engineering, production, and construction issues. Identify areas for potential revenue improvement by suggesting additions or changes to as sold scope of supply ENGINEERING & FABRICATION STAGE: "Project Champion" owns all aspects of the project, cradle-to-grave. Intimately familiar with assigned projects from a scope, schedule, budget, and invoicing standpoint. Primary focal point for project written and verbal communication between company and the customer. Work closely with the Comprehensive Scheduler in determining the project cradle to-grave schedule. Responsible for internal distribution of all project related documentation for review and revisions as required. Interacts with suppliers on all scope, cost, contractual, and schedule issues. Responsible for orchestrating the internal resources needed in support of project execution (ie Production Systems Inventory, Document Control, QA/QC, Fabrication, Engineering, Field Service and After Market) Conduct monthly individual project budget reviews and prepare forecasts to completion. Budget performance will be reviewed monthly on a 1-on-1 basis. Solicit and review project specific accounting data for budget analysis and forecasting purposes. CONTRACT/CONSTRUCTION STAGE: Assume full Customer interface for construction issues. The position requires in depth understanding of project specific contracts. The role requires that all field construction documents be promptly issued to installation contractors after receipt of order. The Project Manager coordinates with a Project Engineer designated by the Project Engineering Manager at the start of the project for equipment selections, ongoing production issues, purchasing, and production control, etc. Field all inquiries from the Customer and the Customers contractor (where applicable). Assist Accounting in invoice collections, attempting to maximize our leverage between payments to our installation contractors and suppliers, and invoicing to our customer. The Project Manager protects against creep of the project scope through budget awareness and the use of change orders. STARTUP AND CLOSEOUT STAGE: Coordinate with the Service Department in the start-up, commissioning, and training portions of the project by coordinating schedules with the Customer. Execute project closeout and release of retainage. Implement a warranty kick-off meeting with the Service Department. JOB SKILLS: Sound knowledge of business management principles, practices, procedures and strong negotiations skills Excellent communication, organizational and time management skills Ability to set priorities and work independently Strong crossover skills in the areas of HVAC principles, civil/structural/mechanical design, power wiring, and controls architecture Basic knowledge of AutoCAD. Proficient in MS Office, MS Project, and database usage. Familiarity with ASHRAE, ANSI, ASME, API, and OSHA Standards. |

| Required Skills:
Minimum 10 years experience in Project Engineering or Project Management with significant level of experience in a packaged equipment type of environment. Industrial HVAC, energy service contracting (ESCO), or central refrigeration plant experience is desirable. Gas Turbine power generation experience is desirable. Must be familiar with and have performed in the past project cost estimating methods, project management, construction management, and familiarity with insurance and bonds. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Extensive travel to both domestic and international job sites Ability to work in field construction locations, including climbing ladders. Capacity to take a project that may be not 100% defined from a scope and/or budget standpoint at time of sale and convert it into a profitable endeavor. |

| Education:
Bachelor degree in engineering from an accredited four-year engineering program, PMP Certification would be a plus. A substitution of military leadership and/or technical work experience will be considered in lieu of an engineering degree. |
