| Description:
As a (Technical) Project Manager, you will have responsibility for the overall success of software product development and customizations, implementations, client management, and overall client satisfaction. The Project Manager will manage a team of on-shore and off-shore resources including: tech leads, software developers, business analysts, and quality assurance analysts. The Project Manager will also have full responsibility over project staffing and counseling of staff. On new projects, the Project Manager will be involved from phase one, the Statement of Work phase, which will enable them to effectively lead delivery, implementation, and support. This requires working with various staff throughout the organization in a matrix leadership role to ensure overall engagement objectives are met. Depending on the size of the project, the Project Manager will be responsible for managing a team size ranging anywhere from 8-30 resources with 3-5 direct reports (in lead/manager type roles.) The Project Manager can expect to be at the client site and/or in our Waukesha, WI office an average of 50-60%. Higher levels of travel may be expected during various points of the project. There will also be times when little to no travel will be required. We Are Looking for a Project Manager Who: -Thrives on managing/motivating teams to deliver -Enjoys working with the client and producing on time, high quality, on budget results -Negotiates effectively with client and teams for a successful end result -Understands (or is willing to learn) quoting, rating, underwriting, enrollment, policy administration, business processes, and how our software works and then guide the client with consultative choices -Is able travel an average of 50% and up to 75% depending on various phases of the project -Can travel in two week to one month chunks of time during key phases such as requirements confirmation, UAT, etc. -Willing and able to use personal credit card for own personal business travel expenses and submitting receipts/expense reports for reimbursement. |

| Required Skills:
- 8+ years of software development and implementation management experience - 4+ years of prior large/enterprise project management experience - Former experience as a developerdoes not have to be recent but must be able to read/communicate code/development issues, i.e. talk shop with internal and external technical resources and decision makers - Prior experience managing box type software implementations - Has managed a team of 10 or more - Off shore management experience - Strong understanding of SDLC Methodology - Direct management experience including: hiring/firing, performance reviews, coaching and mentoring, etc. - 2+ year experience in budgeting, financial and organizational governance - Highly competent with MS Project, Word, PowerPoint and Excel - Customer management skills for administration, resolving issues and building customer relationships - External customer relationship management and facilitation skills - Effective written and verbal communication skills - Effective listening and problem solving skills - Ability to respond strongly and positively to challenging work and deadlines - Work as an integral part of a talented team in a fast-paced, proactive environment Other Preferred Skills and Experience: - Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Science, Engineering, Business, or Communication - PMP Certification - Health Insurance Industry Experience - Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) implementation experience (e.g. Peoplesoft, SAP, Oracle, etc.) - Health & Life defined benefit plan administration experience - General web application development knowledge - General data communications and network operating systems knowledge |
