Description: This is a senior-level position with the Research Lab within a very large company. This team designs and rapidly develops entirely new products in emerging areas. With the entrepreneurial spirit of a startup company, you will work on innovative prototypes and bring them to reality for their Consumer and Enterprise customers. They are looking for someone with a proven background in designing and developing professional, enterprise level web sites as you will be responsible for all front end development on all of the team's projects. Since projects change frequently, the role will focus on frontend development for both traditional software products (i.e. a configuration/management console) as well as web-based online products. They are looking for a frontend developer with strong web production skills, an eye for design and attention to detail. You must be able to translate business requirements and engineer throughout the entire development lifecycle, from design, to implementation, to testing and maintenance. The candidate should have: * Expert HTML and CSS skills. * Ability to work in Adobe Photoshop * Strong scripting and database skills, including Perl/CGI, Oracle, and JavaScript * Comfort and experience in a UNIX environment * Working knowledge of best practices in web design * Experience with Apache * Experience with PHP or Java Servlets/Tomcat * AJAX experience a big plus Job requirements: * Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent experience * At least 3 years experience and a portfolio of projects * Excellent written and verbal communication skills
