Description: As a QA Engineer, you will work with the Content Delivery Network Software Development, QA, and Operations groups on software releases in order to deploy quality software into a high availability production environment. You must be a self-starter and be able to manage and prioritize many tasks at any given time. You must have good communication skills, both written and verbal. In addition, you must demonstrate attention to detail and have good organizational skills. You should be comfortable working in a fast-paced technical environment. Qualifications: • Excellent written and verbal communications skills. • 2-3 years of software development experience in a high-tech environment. • Working familiarity with defect management systems (preferably ClearCase) for a large and complex deployed software base • Development of new and updated test plans at both the unit and system test level. • Work with Software Development to develop test harnesses and testing suites from subsystem design documents. • Effectively apply previous experience when designing and developing new test applications. • Be involved with design reviews, systems testing and data modelling on complex projects. Qualifications: * Minimum of 3 years of QA testing experience in a software development environment, including test planning and development * Minimum of 2 years experience developing software test tools for automated testing * Excellent written and verbal communications skills * Working familiarity with defect management systems for a large and complex deployed software base * Experience testing networked and distributed systems is desirable Essential Functions: • Development of new and updated test plans at both the unit and system test level. • Work with Software Development to develop test harnesses and testing suites from subsystem design documents. • Effectively apply previous experience when designing and developing new test applications. • Be involved with design reviews, systems testing and data modelling on complex projects.
