| Description:
The Field Application Scientist will be responsible for supporting the Ingenuity sales organization for pre- and post-sales activities in commercial and academic accounts. The Field Application Specialist (FAS) will conduct presentations for potential customers, and be responsible for training new customers on the Ingenuity applications. In addition, the FAS will work closely with customers to understand their product requirements, and communicate these requirements to the Ingenuity Marketing organization for inclusion in future product development activities. |

| Required Skills:
- At least three years experience working for commercial organizations selling products into drug discovery organizations - Experience as a preclinical scientist in Pharmaceutical or Biotechnology environment is highly desirable - A Ph.D. in molecular biology or related discipline - A strong existing understanding of the drug discovery and development process - Excellent presentation skills - Excellent listening skills - Experience being a member of a selling team Desired Skills: - Experience with pathways tools - Experience with experimental data analysis (e.g., microarray, proteomics) - Experience with bioinformatics software - Professional experience working for a commercial drug discovery organization Physical Environment (i.e. travel, lifting, other physical requirements): - Position will require working out of home office - Regional travel expected, occasional European or Asian travel may be required |
