Description:
The Director Business Development, New Ventures is responsible for identifying, prioritizing, negotiating, and closing revenue-generating commercial relationships in the New Ventures group. This individual is responsible for working closely with the rest of the New Ventures team to define and scope offerings, identify potential customers, and qualify prospects. This person will take the lead in negotiating commercial relationships, and will be responsible for leading a cross-functional Ingenuity team in the deal process.

Required Skills:
- 5+ years in business development and sales
- Experience with customers in the global life sciences research market
- Understanding of enterprise solution selling
- Experience structuring and negotiating commercial relationships in excess of $500,000 in revenue
- Experience working with multi-functional teams to develop proposals
- Experience building and maintaining a pipeline of opportunities
- Experience working with customers with stakeholders across multiple geographies
- Advanced science, law, or business degree preferred
- Strong presentation skills

- Experience meeting and exceeding annual billings targets
- Experience in reviewing and negotiating contracts
- Strategy consulting background
- Experience with business to business eCommerce solutions and business models
- Experience in the life sciences instrumentation and reagent market

Physical Environment (i.e. travel, lifting, other physical requirements):
- Domestic travel up to two weeks per month, and regular global travel (primarily to Europe).
