Description: The Manager of Applications Development is responsible for the following: • Code, test, debug, document and install applications utilizing the current version of the Microsoft ® Visual Basic Programming Language. Also responsible for working with the DBA to maintain databases that are stored in the current version of Microsoft ® SQL Server. These responsibilities will include analyzing code written by others as well as simple database maintenance. • A complete understanding of the Active Directory Object (ADO) database connectivity methods in Visual Basic is required. The ability to be able to generate SQL queries easily and perform data manipulation is also required. • Develop SQL statements for Microsoft SQL Server and attach reports to these SQL statements on an as needed basis. • Provide supporting documentation (including but not limited to flow charts, pseudo-code outlines, object-task lists, etc.) in compliance with the standards set forth by the Manager of Information Systems. • Provide analysis and methodology needed to take an idea presented in various forms (client requests, meetings, notes, etc.) to a final working application. Included in this analysis will be logical flows, algorithms and detailed design procedures used to develop an application. • Ability to design, code, test and debug parameter driven “black box” type generic routines that provide a general solution to a common programming problem within the group. The ability to document these modules and provide explanation to the Manager of Information Systems and other programmers is an absolute necessity. • Assist lower level programmers and analysts with coding problems and design problems. • Interface directly with Sales Reps, Client Service Representative, Data Processors, the DP Manager and the Production Manager to solve mission critical system problems as well as provide training and/or direction in using systems designed and written by the IS Department.

Required Skills: The Manager of Applications Development must have 2-4 years of hands-on experience programming in the following languages: ASP, ASP.NET, VB.NET, and VB 6. Strong database skills and SQL coding in SQL Server 2000/2005.
