| Required Skills:
Strong knowledge of Video delivery and architectures. · System design / architect experience with Video on Demand Systems used by major MSO?s. · Implementing, integrating or managing commercial video solutions within Cable and Telco environments. · Strong understanding of Object-Oriented design and development experience · Ability to evaluate new and competitive technologies in order to determine feasibility for integration into the system. · Ability to develop and present architectural diagrams, White Papers, system requirements, scope and functional specification documents for new enhancements. · Ability to inteface with Internal and External (including: 3rd parties, Customer, operations, and executive levels) to integrate technologies and discuss technical topics · Ability to provide strategic technical direction by defining new features, products and technologies. · Proficient in collecting internal and external customer concerns and update documents or comments accordingly. · Must be a self starter with good organizational and analytical skills with solid ability to work in a team-oriented environment · Proven Success at designing complex solutions and ushering projects through to completion · Excellent Written and Verbal Communication Skills · B.S, Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunication, related engineering field or equivalent experience. · Over 10 years of system engineering or Architecture · 5+ years designing streaming media technologies Must possess an in depth knowledge of system hardware and software in order to provide strategic direction for new products or enhancements to the Video Server. The ability to evaluate new competitive technologies and collect internal and external customer concerns to develop well-designed architectural diagrams, system requirements, scopes and white papers. · Expert knowledge of in the designing streaming media technologies and architectures of large scale systems including: MGEG2, MPEG4, H.264 and Adobe Flash, WMS, Real and Quicktime · The Ability to provide the foresight and architectures that enable service provides to deliver the next generation of rich, reliable and personalized video applications to any devices, anytime, over any network. · In depth knowledge of: · MPEG2,MPEG4, H.264 standards. · Encryption technologies · DRM technologies · Experience with caching methodologies. · Experience with VOD, IPTV, PC and mobile delivery · Familiarity and experience of the Linux and Windows operating systems. · Strong understanding of OOP concepts, and design patterns, and fluency in C and C++ |
