Description:

Functions as the lead creative contact on accounts under his or her supervision. Present and speak on behalf of the advertising agency at various presentations. He/She reports to the Creative Director who supervises his/her creative responsibilities. The ACD formulates concepts and leads staff engaged in executing designs and copy to be presented by visual communications media such as websites, online media, kiosks, digital signage, online demos and CD-ROMs.



Job Responsibilities:

 Produces intelligent and on strategy creative solutions that reflect brand personality.

 Trains and supervises assigned staff of designers and other creative personnel; oversees their execution of all creative efforts to insure they are on strategy, on budget, and on schedule.

 Participates in account team and client planning sessions regarding campaign strategy and the approach to any significant project.

 Leads certain creative projects and team members with a hands-on supervisory approach while facilitating a collaborative team environment.

 Understands and actively seeks solutions to advance project, client and moxie digital marketing goals

 Maintains quality of the agency’s advertising, as well as the quality and operation of assigned personnel within the Creative Department. By example and direction, the ACD fosters a departmental reputation for creative excellence. The ACD assigns and reassigns creative personnel to particular accounts for that express purpose.

 Maintains an effective departmental structure, and helps to create and maintain a high energy level throughout the Creative Department.

 Participates in and contributes to the new business activities of the agency, as required.

 Ensures budgets, deadlines, etc. are complete, accurate and followed.

 Provides clear/objective critiques of creative work during development.

 Makes presentations internally and /or with senior level clients.

 Attends creative reviews for clients, and trouble-shoots difficult creative problems for any client.

 Remains current and communicates industry trends and techniques.

 Participates actively – as he/she sees fit or at the copy/art team’s request – in the development of specific program components such as headlines, graphic approaches, copy slant, etc.

 Evaluates creative personnel, reviewing compensation, establishing creative account assignments, making recommendations on terminating or adding people, screening applicants, and generally dealing with all personnel problems in the Creative Department.

 Demonstrates responsibility and maturity in the agency by observing normal working hours, keeping the executive assistant informed of his/her whereabouts while out of the office, and being judicious in the use of agency funds and resources.

 Keeps CD and CCO informed about the creative work progress for clients, and about the ways in which those projects are being produced.





 Participates in selection of vendors in conjunction with creative and production teams.

 Submits accurate time reports weekly.

 Submits expense accounts monthly or as needed with receipts for all expenditures

Required Skills:

Six to eight years of creative team leadership experience. Must have knowledge and experience in performing a variety of digital marketing assignments for consumer, industrial, corporate, and institutional clients.

The ability to think strategically and work autonomously when required.

 The ability to handle and prioritize multiple projects and multiple creative teams to adjust to inevitable changes in timelines, deadlines, and project goals.

 Excellent written and verbal communication skills and organizational skills.

 Have the ability to train and mentor creative staff.



Education:

 Bachelor of Fine Arts, or similar related degree.
