Description: The Data Center Director is responsible for managing the full hardware and software lifecycles for all core systems housed in six data centers. This responsibility includes managing the server infrastructure staff, identifying and implementing new systems to support a continuously changing business, and working with the network team to provide the uptime, consistency, and innovation needed to run a global 24x7 business. Responsibilities: Provide excellent leadership directing the day-to-day activities of all Server Infrastructure staff (Level II & III) Optimize all aspects of the Data Center Operations across six data centers Manage and lead people to create and sustain a high-performing team that meets service levels at an effective cost Manages the following: Operations Surveillance (Data Center, Platforms, Applications) Change and Configuration Management (Policies, Global Systems Maintenance Schedule) New Systems Implementations Documents and reports Data Center Operations key performance indicators ( Operating and capital budget administration and management Documents and maintains standard operating procedures (SOPs) Client is ranked within the top five companies in it's industry.

Required Skills: Must have 10-15 years managing the operations of and consolidating data centers. Career must be focused on Data Centers NOT just a piece of what you have done. Must have multi location experience. Must have practical knowledge in the following areas: • Data Center Environmental Management (power, cooling, space management, physical access/security controls) • Server / Operating Systems (Windows, AIX, Linux, HP-UX) • Storage Area Network Operations (EMC, DELL) • Systems Management (alert/event management, automated job scheduling, storage management,) • Virtualization (VMWare) • Citrix • Budget Management • Global Data Center Operations Management Fifteen years experience in enterprise class data center operations management . Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate to all levels (from C-Level to technical staff). Must demonstrate excellent skills in preparation and control of operating/capital budgets; personnel administration; ability to recruit, retain, mentor, and rapidly develop staff capacity; and contractor management. Desired: global, multi-datacenter environment

Education: Bachelor’s required, Masters prefered
