| Description:
This position will be leading/performing accounting projects to evaluate the appropriateness of application of US GAAP accounting principles in the Company. The work will include establishing a risk-based approach to prioritize accounting projects, determine project scope and lead execution of the project including developing accounting conclusions. Accounting areas of emphasis are likely to include revenue recognition, inventory valuation and business combinations. This position will also provide consultation to the global finance team on application of US GAAP inclusive of recurring review of customer contracts, support the SEC reporting team on a quarterly basis in aspects of the SEC reporting process and assist the finance policy team with development and review of global accounting policy. | Required Skills:
The successful candidate will bring at least seven years of accounting expertise, including experience in public accounting. A CPA with strong experience in application of contemporary US GAAP is required. Must be viewed as a credible partner to senior management and willing to engage the finance team on potentially tough issues, work collaboratively with the finance team and be able to drive resolution on accounting application yet maintain excellent relationships. Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills are essential. Desired: Experience in Sarbanes-Oxley certification |
