Description:

The Director will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of Oracle across a 20+ location enterprise.

This individual will be responsible for effectively planning, supporting and maintaining the Oracle ERP application and for providing leadership and management for the Oracle Applications Technology group staff while ensuring alignment with business objectives. This position will require periodic - 25% (1 week per month) travel.



Responsibilities:



Build Oracle support structure to successfully support and maintain the business units 24/7.

In partnership with HR, recruit, hire and retain excellent Oracle candidates .

Manage ongoing issue resolution and operational improvement activities around Oracle systems.

Assist with the management of internal customer relationships and communication to all business units.

Manage the relationship with application vendors and consulting partners.

Organize technical work such as system upgrades and enhancements into project plans; write and maintains plans, establish milestones, measure and report progress, and deliver status reports.

Ensure that application patches are identified and tested prior to promotion to production.

Assist with Sarbanes-Oxley efforts directly related to the Oracle ERP system.

Supervise a staff of 8-12

Required Skills:

Deep functional expertise in Oracle (emphasis on Mfg) with strong, positive leadership traits and successes. Superior communication skills (written, verbal and group presentations)

Proven functional (Oracle ERP) expert

Great people leader (lead by example, innate sense of respect for others)

Demonstrated success in leading a productive Vendor relationship ($1 m /year)

Demonstrated success working on cross functional teams

7+ years experience with Oracle ERP.

Maintenance and support experience and detailed/comprehensive understanding of the following Oracle Application modules in Release 11i: Financial and Order Management are a must

Ability to define business processes around Oracle functional modules.

Ability to create detailed written specifications and requirements.

Ability to set up application modules.

Candidate must possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, work well with others in an integrated team environment, must be self-motivated and a problem solver.

Excellent project management skills with demonstrated track record.

Demonstrated leadership abilities. Effective in matrix management and team building.

Ability to analyze, understand and effectively communicate between business requirements, technical design, implementation and support.

Ability to travel on a limited basis (primarily US but international travel may be necessary (on occasion) as well)

Ability to analyze, understand and effectively communicate functional material to end users and upper management.

Ability to work in a fast-paced user environment.



Desired:

experience with Oracle 11i E-Business Suite
