| Description:
This position is for an experienced software engineer who will work on site with a large courier customer of the Enterprise data devices (Xpad/Epad and HC700). The individual will act as a liaison between the customer and the Engineering Technical Support Team and the Engineering Customer Response Team in Israel. Focus will be on the HC700 and Xpad/Epad devices with possible future expansion to other Motorola/Symbol product offerings. Will work on distinguishing between technical issues with the devices and application development issues. Position is based near the customer location in Memphis, TN. |

| Required Skills:
(software knowledge - builds/cross-compiles/top-down design methodologies) -- Proficient in C/C++/C# for both desktop and embedded devices. (for embedded devices for platforms: WM5, PPC2003, WinCE or XPE). -- Solid development background (3-4 years) for application debugging familiarity, basic knowledge of OS & drivers(dlls). -- Ability to communicate complex ideas to a non-technical audience -- Good customer skills (some large project experience as team member or project lead) -- Knowledgeable about s/w quality processes -- Knowledge of Version Control Software like ClearCase, Sourceforge, Microsoft SourceSafe. -- Experience with network programming and protocols like TCP/IP,FTP,TELNET and communications (ISO Protocols, Ethernet, Serial, IRDA, Bluetooth, USB, etc) -- Experience with WWAN protocols and programming (RIL Drivers, MS Connection Manager, etc..) -- Experience with IEEE802.11b/g, Wi-Fi, networks -- Experience with Mobile Computing hardware -- Experience with Barcode scanners and imagers -- Time management skills (Ability to prioritize and multitask) Desired: Device driver and kernel debugging experience Experience with Linux OS and front-end development tools -- Experience with Device Management software (i.e. Wavelink) -- Experience with Wireless Security (802.1x, WEP, WPA, Radius, EAP types) Experience with Mobile 802.1x device supplicants 3+ years C/C++ or C# for embedded devices 3+ years development background Strong software skills are essential. |
