The DBA, Lead (Oracle Applications)serves as an expert consultant to applications developers to provide expertise on database capabilities and constraints. Performs data modeling; develops physical designs that demonstrate trade-offs between logical design and system performance. Creates logical and physical database designs Establishes security and replication procedures. Demonstrates expert understanding of database performance tuning, data backup, recovery and security processes/ procedures. • Lead the design and implementation of procedures to monitor, evaluate, and improve Oracle Applications performance and workload. • Lead the correction of production incidents. Ensure that open production problems are closed on a timely basis and root-cause defects are fully identified and repaired. • Strong database concepts and fundamentals. • Work effectively with Oracle DBAs, developers, infrastructure teams and external customers to resolve problems with application/database systems. • Manage production efforts of the Oracle e-Business DBA team ensuring SLAs are being met. • Prepare and conduct seminars and other training classes for teammates, internal and external customers. • Mentor co-workers, sharing technical expertise and providing a leadership example to junior team members. • Manage production efforts of the Oracle e-Business DBA team ensuring SLAs are being met. <<Office Depot is a Fortune 200 company founded in 1986 and one of the world's largest sellers of office products. | Required Skills:
Minimum 4 years of Oracle database administration. • Minimum of 4 years of Oracle Applications administration. • Minimum of 2 years of Oracle 11i Applications administration. Approximately 8-12 years experience in related field Minimum of 7 years professional Information Technology experience. At least 3 or more of these years working with large ERP implementations. • Experience leading a multi-tier Oracle Applications environment. • Experience leading Oracle 11.5.10 Applications including; Financials, Supply Chain Management, ASCP experience installing, upgrading, cloning, and patching Oracle 11i applications. • Oracle Applications system administration experience including concurrent manager configuration. • Experience leading performance tuning, setting up highly availability, and securing Oracle Applications 11i Oracle Applications system administration experience including concurrent manager configuration Strong understanding of the Oracle technology stack and architecture for Oracle Applications 11.5.10. • Ability to implement, enforce, and adhere to standards.• Ability to work with users (both IT and non-IT) to define needs, coordinate development, and provide training. • Ability to independently investigate, analyze and troubleshoot problems, to determine and provide accurate resolution and root cause. • Knowledge of customer service standards and procedures and a commitment to achieving excellence in customer service. |
