| Description:
In this integral role you will: Work with quantitative analysts to develop and utilize a retail pricing model that interacts with wholesale curve and retail load projections. Assist with pricing, load shape assessment and transaction structuring. Update pricing models and transaction management system with current market data to value pricing offers and calculate MTM. Analyze retail commitments, post closed deals into the retail book and determine wholesale supply requirements. Interact with the wholesale market to understand the wholesale products, pricing, forward curves and structured product dynamics to ensure efficient retail pricing and risk transfer to customers. Assist Manager Electricity Trading & Operations to ensure that retail load profile, usage and other customer parameters are accurately captured in databases and correctly retrieved into the retail book. Assist with pricing on structured deals that require non-routine models, pricing and/or processes. Assist in the procurement of Green E RECs in open market to satisfy WGES’ requirements. Position Description Responsibilities and Duties Pricing Model · Assist with pricing, load shape assessment and transaction structuring. · Work with quantitative analysts to develop, maintain and utilize a retail pricing model that interacts with wholesale curve and retail load projections. · Research the particular market in which a deal is located in order to understand the impact of tariffs, market rules and procedures related to generation, transmission and distribution costs to support electric sales. · Work to completely understand current models and data flow between WGES and the electric utilities. · Update pricing models and transaction management system with current market data to value pricing offers and calculate MTM. · Analyze retail commitments, post closed deals into the retail book and determine wholesale supply requirements. · Interact with the wholesale market to understand the wholesale products, pricing, forward curves and structured product dynamics to ensure efficient retail pricing and risk transfer to customers. · Work with load data from customers to produce and coordinate reports for internal requirements and external counterparties. · Assist Manager Electricity Trading & Operations to ensure that retail load profile, usage and other customer parameters are accurately captured in databases and correctly retrieved into the retail book. · Assist with pricing on structured deals that require non-routine models, pricing and/or processes. Green Energy Supply · Document all green energy transactions as necessary. Document load requirements to support verification of WGES’ compliance with regulations and contracts. · Work with PJM GATS system to properly track RECs as necessary to support RPS and voluntary requirements. · Assist in the procurement of Green E RECs in open market to satisfy WGES’ requirements. · Track and document transactions and costs of wind purchases from WGES’ wind supply partners/brokers. Portfolio Support · Reconcile energy use and retail book positions to ensure accurate load projections. Follow through with detailed analysis to validate that actual transaction data matches expected results. · Work with marketing, trading, and operations to understand all aspects of a deal in order to correctly process key retail book assumptions such as churn curve. · Follow proper processes and documentation requirements for all inputs and assumptions. | Required Skills:
Minimum of 3 years strong data analysis including at least one year electricity industry experience. Minimum 2 years of working experience in Excel/VBA. Working knowledge of physical energy business or energy commodities. Working knowledge of applying financial markets theory and derivatives Demonstrated ability to be creative and work in a dynamic and deadline-oriented environment. Ability to successfully meet daily deadlines and work with deal-closing related uncertainties and tight time frames. Ability to work independently. Desired: Access, SQL, and Oracle experience Renewable energy experience with a retailer or generator company Project management skills and experience |

| Education:
BS/BA in Engineering, Finance, Math, Statistics, Economics, Physics, Computer Science or other quantitative discipline. MBA preferred |
