| Description:
This position will support development of the marketing strategy and marketing plan for the Region, through collection, analysis and communication of relevant information including: competitive intelligence, market conditions and trends, price position, and membership reporting and forecasting. Collect and analyze membership information and utilize data-driven methodologies to support development of accurate membership forecasts. Manage and contribute to market research projects to support market-based product development decisions and marketing communications strategies. Responsibilites: 1. Provide internal marketing consultation, analysis, and project management support to regional marketing and sales management, assisting with the development of overall sales and market planning efforts 2. Primarily accountable for collection, analysis and communication of: Strategies, membership and market share and competitors price position based on rates and contributions, by segment and product type Benefits comparisons/product designs DOI financial filings Review of publicly available financial data and other competitor-specific reports Market conditions and trends Market demographic information to determine sizing/penetration estimates by segment. 3. Under the direction of the Director and Manager of Strategic Marketing and Planning, establish competitive intelligence and membership forecasting functions. 4. Serves department as the primary source of competitive intelligence for the Region's senior leaders. Effectively present this information to support senior leaders in making insightful and effective business decisions. Increase market knowledge/awareness throughout the organization at all levels. 5. Collaborates with other staff members in the development of the strategic marketing plan. 6. Monitor and report on drivers of purchasing behavior in key market segments. 7. Develop market research methodologies to obtain additional information needed to analyze market segments, including if needed, serving as the primary liaison to external market research vendors. 8. Support product development efforts through maintenance of up-to-date information on competitors' current product designs and new product introductions, as well as detailed benefits information. 9. Use data-driven methodologies to support development of accurate membership forecasts. 10. Consistently support compliance and the Principles of Responsibility ( Code of Conduct) by maintaining the privacy and confidentiality of information, protecting the assets of the organization, acting with ethics and integrity, reporting non-compliance, and adhering to applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations, accreditation and licenser requirements (if applicable), and policies and procedures. 11. | Required Skills:
Five to Six (5-6) years of marketing analysis, planning, market research, financial analysis or other similar experience. Demonstrated analytical, project management, consulting, and communication skills. Desired: Experience in commercial employee benefits or insurance/HMO industry. Demonstrated problem solving and strategic thinking skills. |
