| Description:
Our client, a leading corporation with an outstanding track record, has an immediate opening for an energetic, entrepreneurial Controller who will lead their finance/accounting team through a period of positive change and growth. Not your average opportunity, the individual must possess not only solid accounting knowledge but outstanding leadership skills and a vision for the future. In this role, you will guide up to 10 direct reports and will be responsible for overseeing and improving all aspects of the finance and accounting processes and systems. Responsibilities: - oversee and manage all aspects of the Finance and account processes and systems, ensuring the financial position of the company or affiliates is properly reflected in accordance with GAAP - Responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the finance and accounting reporting group. - Delivers and is accountable for the preparation of accurate, relevant, reliable and timely financial management reports including internal/external reporting and consolidations, including MD&A and supplemental information - Oversees cash flow/treasury/loan draw functions to meet short and long term financing needs - Manages interactions with external audit firm and manages the preparation of work papers, financial reports and resolution of audit findings - Produce meaningful and accurate financial budgets and forecasts for planning purposes - Prepare periodic reports for senior management to support business plans and financing needs - Corporate and partnership tax filing, part of tax planning team and new implementations - Recommending establishment of new or modified accounting policies, reporting methods and procedures to improve report content and completeness of information. - Works in collaboration with Information Systems to implement improvements to system requirements and procedures to ensure better efficiency and effectiveness of information |

| Required Skills:
- Previous financial experience with joint ventures and limited partnerships - Knowledge of cash flow, financial modeling and treasury functions |

| Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business or other equivalent - CMA/CGA/CA designation |
