| Description:
Edwards Consulting Firm, Inc. has a retail client who is looking for a Director of Profit Improvement for their corporate location. The successful candidate will identify and implement projects that improve the company's performance by producing sales, generating revenue or expense reduction. Ideal candidate will have the following experience: 5+ years managing teams to achieve results Knowledge of retail processes, systems and operations Finance background in expense management, planning and analysis Strong strategic planning and prioritization skills Strong interpersonal and team leadership capabilities Project management experience a plus Strong communication skills including executive presentations capabilities at the President/Chairman level Six Sigma or other Quality experience not required but considered a plus Responsibilities include the following: Source, prioritize, validate and seek management approval for strategic PI initiatives Manage cross functional workgroups on implementation of PI initiatives Develop processes, market program & build PI program Interface with corporate and sister divisions on reporting requirements/ideas generation Decision Making includes the following: Dir of PI influences management in selection of initiatives and priorities. Position is final authority in determining how PI projects are implemented to generate between $10-25mm in overall sales, revenue or expense impact. Serves advisory role to functional workgroups and senior management on execution of PI initiatives. Participates in the corporate development of profit improvement strategy with corporate and sister division contacts. PC Competencies include the following: Intermediate MS Excel, MS Word, MS Project and MS PowerPoint. MS Access is helpful but not required. Systems Competencies include the following: Requires understanding of financial systems, electronic email. Merchant systems experience is a major plus. Excellent communication skills is required. |
