Edwards Consulting Firm, Inc. is working with one of our partners to locate a VP of GED and Occupational Skills Programs or VP of Adult and Youth Training skills.



Our client company is located in the southeastern part of the United States so if you are not a current or local resident of the facility, relocation is required and provided for successfully selected candidate.



The client organization is a recognized leader in education and skills training of over 20 years. They receive various government grants and funding and require someone to run either their GED skills programs or someone to run their Adult and Youth skills programs.



Key performance deliverables for the roles include:



Meeting contractual obligations while enhancing client and participant satisfaction



Manage cost and schedule to achieve on time results



Expand customer relationships and aid with generating new business by providing subject matter expertise



Workforce management - Hire key positions, minimize employee turnover, enhance employee growth opportunities and satisfaction



For GED and Occupational skills role:



Must have experience with GED Training programs and testing procedures

Must have Vocational Training with understanding of job placement and programmatic knowledge of OJT and work experience



For Adult and Youth Program role:



Must understand WIA and TANF funding contracts requirements, purpose and measures and performance reporting.



Both positions require:

Strategic focus and the ability to identify trends



Strong understanding of finance and accounting and process orientation



Excellent organization and time management skills and the ability to provide leadership



A solid understanding of government contracting process on local, state and federal levels is strongly preferred



Current driver's license and a vehicle with appropriate insurance coverage and the ability to travel up to 30 percent max



Required Skills:

It is not required that you have already been a Vice President to apply to this position but you must have solid senior manager level skills to be considered.



Education:

BA degree in Business or related field and four years experience in an operational leadership role or public sector -government funded - market or the equal combination of education and experience
