Description:

As a member of the Software Development team reporting to the Systems Project Manager, the Systems Business Analyst is responsible for business analysis, user training and support, the analysis, design, development and implementation of bespoke applications, as well as the modification, enhancement and support of existing applications and commercial packages.



KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES:



* Provides analysis, design, development, implementation and maintenance of new and existing software systems;

* Writes and tests effective program code subject to a peer review process utilising the development tools approved by the company;

* Researches and makes recommendations to management regarding the acquisition, or development of future systems;

* Produces and maintains user, system and programmer level documentation;

* Conducts analysis and development life cycle of various projects and leads various teams to complete projects;

* Provides on-going technical and end user support for both custom-built and purchased software systems; and

* Provides technical training sessions to end users and develops training manuals as required.



Required Skills:

QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:



A professional degree in Information Systems with at least 5 years working as a Systems Business Analyst with extensive Software Development experience in a structured development environment and proven experience with Records Management and Enterprise Content Management systems.



The following specific knowledge & skills are required:



* Direct experience with Programming and Database Design concepts are a must;

* Training or a good working knowledge in the following disciplines:



a) Enterprise Content Management Systems, Document Management, and Archiving;

b) Microsoft SharePoint;

c) Microsoft Studio 2008;

d) SQL Server 2005/2008;

e) Microsoft Cubes design and management;

f) Business Analysis methodologies and structures;

g) Microsoft Office tools;

h) Visual Basic for Applications;

i) VB.NET;

j) Object-Oriented programming concepts;

k) Knowledge of OLAP / SQL Server Analysis Services and Data Mining; and

l) Microsoft Project.



* Experience within a Finance environment would be an advantage; and

* Sound experience with analytical and design methodologies.
