| Description:
Healthcare software vendor is seeking an experienced clinical requirements analyst to join the team as a Senior Clinical Requirements Analyst for the nursing and physician documentation modules. The position of the Senior Clinical Requirements Analyst reports to the Vice President of Product Management and is based in the corporate office in Orange County, California. This individual is responsible for defining functional requirement specifications using an agile approach to requirements gathering, documenting and refining for the applications that will be used by clinical staff in the company's clinical suite of products including: Vital signs, intake and output, worklists Nursing and MD Progress Notes Consults Order Management/Results Reporting Patient Education CPOE, BCMA And, others as they evolve In this position, you will be charged to facilitate and collaborate with the product team to develop requirements, user stories and use cases and, in addition, validate system design for future product releases. Requirements will be focused on solving business problems and needs in the clinical environment with an emphasis on promoting support for sound clinical decision making and standards of care. Excellent communication and written skills are required as this position will need to work closely with product management, engineering, quality assurance, customers and prospects to define the detailed needs for streamlined clinical workflow automation. Collaboration with documentation and training staff will need to occur to drive value focused documentation and training materials. In addition, this position will be responsible for review of functional test scripts and working closely with quality assurance on defect correction priority setting. |

| Required Skills:
Experience writing requirements for clinical information systems Nursing or Medical experience in acute care environments Experience with workflow analysis and software tools to support design Ability to problem solve and assess user needs to translate into functional requirements Understanding of software development practices Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal Knowledge of Open Source strategy a plus Ability to travel to customer and non customer sites (10-15%) Must be based in Orange County, CA office - relocation assistance available |
