Description:
Coordinates clinical information systems development, implementation and training. Serves as an advisory resource for management personnel and end users to effectively utilize the Hospitals clinical information systems. Acts as a clinical liaison between the end users, ancillary departments, and information systems to address interdepartmental and systems interface needs.

General Job Requirements:

Assist management personnel with the planning, selection and implementation of patient administrative and clinical information systems.
Coordinate installation of hardware, vendor service, and training in accordance with executed contracts and work plans.
Work with system vendors to develop detailed systems specifications and modifications; test software.
Coordinate clinical systems end user training programs\ schedules as needed; assist in the development of customized user documentation as needed.
Develop, test, and coordinate the efforts to build tables, files and directories required by the systems.
Participate in detailed specification development and testing of interfaces.
Monitor and assess the progress of clinical systems implementation from the Hospitals perspective.
Assist in the identification of cost savings opportunities in Hospital operations that result from system implementation.
Monitor information systems usage and perform activities to enhance usage and user satisfaction.
Assist management personnel in the evaluation of all information systems requests for feasibility, cost and benefit.

Required Skills:
At least five years clinical/healthcare experience.
At least 2 years experience in information systems technology, including, but not limited to, order communications.
Strong implementation and project management background in health care systems.
Global knowledge of hospital operations.
PC experience with Microsoft Project, Word and Excel is preferred.
Excellent, interpersonal skills.
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Education:
Bachelors Degree required.
