Location: Eau Claire, WI Reports to: Director of Implementation Summary of Position: The Clinical Systems Implementation consultant's primary function is to increase profitability by working as a member of the implementation team to deliver Product Automation and Consulting Services to the Healthcare Market. A consultative approach to implementation is used to meet the demands of this complex implementation environment. Clinical consultants are expected to act in a lead role as well as a supporting role. Clinical Implementation consultants also participate on project teams as a part of the software development process. The primary areas of responsibility for the Clinical Systems Implementation Consultant include: - Clinical implementation and consultation in the implementation of new systems and additional modules - Clinical representation in the software development process - Clinical representation and support in sales process - Company improvement & team growth and support Employment Standards: The following Employment standards will influence the individual's success in meeting Essential job functions and Performance milestones. 50% Healthy attitude (Emotional Intelligence) 25% Interpersonal skills (working with people) (Emotional Intelligence) 15% Specific personal training 10% clear performance measures and job descriptions Essential functions for the clinical systems implementation consultant include: - Individually or as a member of an implementation project team, provide clinical expertise in the assessment of the client's environment - Participate and/or lead in identifying the client needs and matching those needs to automated solutions - Participate and/or lead in the configuration of the software solution to meet client's identified business goals - Participate in and lead client training and go-live support for designated software solutions requiring expert clinical knowledge - Develop solid professional relationships with new and existing clients, ensuring areas of risk are identified and resolved. - Assist Account Executives in providing clinical expertise through the sales cycle - Assist Account Managers in enhancing customer results with automated solutions through clinical expertise and awareness of regulations or industry standards - Represent employer at national and regional trade shows / conventions to establish and maintain client contacts, and gather competitive and industry information - Participate on teams providing clinical expertise in the areas of product growth and development - Funnel customer, market and industry needs to employer for improvement of our products and services - Assist with training of new consultants through developing materials, teaching in-house classes, providing on-the-job training, and mentoring other employees. - Actively participate in and support team and company cost saving/improvement projects related to implementation Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: - Solid technical skills including working knowledge of PC and Network Operating Systems as well as a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. - Proven work management skills including strong personal management and organization skills and group facilitation and leadership skills. - Build strong client relationship skills using strong interpersonal and communication skills. - Professional verbal and written communication skills including a demonstrated ability to clearly and simply discuss complex issues, the ability to manage different environments, and to professionally challenge clients, a proven ability to write well-structured business correspondence, demonstrated professional phone etiquette, and interest versus positional focused negotiation style. - Well developed consulting skills including the ability to successfully manage customer expectations, thinking quickly and soundly in an unstructured client setting, strong problem solving skills using an analytical approach, and a consultative "problem focused" approach and style. - Analyze client's business practice and available resources to develop requirements of a customized solution that best meets their primary buying objectives. - Train clients in the use of their system and support the implementation effort following training. - Support the implementation efforts lead by other consultants Working Relationships: This position is expected to, and will work closely with, other companies, teams, and positions. Account Executives: Support the Account Executive team in sales demonstrations by providing clinical expertise throughout the sales cycle. Account Managers: Support the Account Management team. Assists account managers in clinical focused needs from our existing clients. Marketing: Support marketing research efforts, assist in the planning trade shows and conventions, assist with the development of promotional programs, and assist with the development of standard sales and marketing documents and literature. Product Management Team: Assist with the collection of operational statistics, provide feedback and suggestions, communicate market needs, submit programming requests and complete feasibility studies. Create product requirements; clarify programming requests, test new products or enhancements. Product Support Team: Facilitate proper handoff of newly implemented systems, complete implementation activities assigned to the Product Support Team, and clarify product support work being passed on. Participate as a team member in customer escalations. Implementation Team: Participate as a member of the implementation team during customer implementations. Provide, and receive, turnover documents before and following customer implementations. Administrative Team: Order and ship sales & implementation materials, take incoming calls triaged by the Administrative team. The Administrative team will also maintain client documentation and supplies for this position. Other Vendors / Suppliers: Will interact with other vendors & suppliers as needed to explore and provide solutions to clients. Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to: * Work long hours at times exceeding 12 consecutive hours in a given day. * Travel both by commercial and private airplane and in rental cars * Spend long periods of time in emergency departments and other hospital settings. * Pick up and carry computer equipment weighing up to 50lb * Use the computer extensively, typing lengthy documents * Spend from 50% of the time traveling, regularly spending 2-5 days on the road at a time. * Able to handle frequent, close exposure to diagnosed and undiagnosed emergency department patients. | Required Skills:
Four year college degree. -Registered Nurse in the state of Wisconsin -Willing to live in the Eau Claire, Wisconsin area -Knowledge and experience in health care business -3 years clinical informatics or related experience - Knowledge of PC, Network Operating systems, experience in software development and implementation - Ability to travel 50% of the time as an on-going requirement - 1-2 years experience working in a high client contact environment. - Demonstrated organizational skills - Ability to cover travel related expenses with a major credit card prior to company reimbursement - Valid driver's license |
