Candidate Requirements:



The Qualified candidates will possess the following attributes:

· Must have a minimum of 6 - 8 years of relevant Plant Controller or equivalent experience in a manufacturing environment. This must include management and technical understanding of the cost accounting, payroll, AP, and AR functions

· Exceptional understanding of cost accounting principles and analytical skills are a must.

· Proven experience & proficiency in the utilization of SAP version 4.6 or greater – both FI and CO.

· Impeccable leadership, employee development, motivational, and team building skills.

· A proven and absolute passion for driving continuous process improvement across a wide range of financial and operational functions.

· Highly developed verbal and written communication skills are an absolute requirement. Demonstrate proactive thinking and communications at all business levels. Ability to research, analyze, compile, and present clear business proposals/justifications.

· Candidate must have highly developed financial modeling skills to support make vs. buy; cost analysis & modeling; and annual budgeting responsibilities

· Demonstrated success in the identification and implementation of BEST practices for optimizing budget planning, product cost tracking, inventory tracking and general financial reporting.

· Must be highly effective in working in a multi-site environment – HQ and multiple manufacturing locations.

· Must have proven experience and success at managing large projects - especially business acquisitions.

· Highly adept at using computer based tools (email, MS Excel, Access, Word, etc.).

· Minimum of a Bachelors Degree in Accounting and an excellent working understanding of GAAP.



Position Responsibilities:



· Responsible for all accounting functions for a manufacturing facility of a public company. Responsibilities include accounts payable, payroll, fixed asset accounting, general ledger, standard cost accounting, budgeting, variance analyses and financial statement preparation.

· Maintain Internal controls in compliance with Sarbane Oxley, inclusive of purchasing, inventory, shipping/receiving cutoffs, spending limits of authority, and segregation of duties.

· Development of business models and analytical tools to assess make versus buy and/or other business investment opportunities.

· Drive the annual business budgeting process via a structured, well managed process that achieves all calendared objectives. Assist plant management to understand cost drivers and actions necessary to adjust costs to align with production volume levels.

· Prepare monthly performance and analytical reports and presentations for plant management and per HQ requirements.

· The position also provides detailed account analyses and schedules for the monthly, quarterly and year end corporate reporting requirements.

· Provide leadership and training to other managers in the areas of managerial accounting, financial controls and economic decision making processes.

· Drive the organization through a process oriented mindset that continually “challenges itself to do things better” and fosters creative product development & improvement solutions.

· Lead and participate on continuous improvement teams.

· Develop and implement functional business goals. Deploy these through the organization with the appropriate accountability measurements to ensure achievement.

· Hands on management and understanding of operational issues, budgets, financial performance, and key business performance metrics. Effectively utilize these to drive continuous business and organizational improvement.

· Oversee and ensure the development and implementation financial SOPs and policies in support of efficient and controlled financial processes.

· Effectively recruit and hire members of the finance team as well as ensure the continued growth and development of your employees.

· Provide and lead the organization with a clear business vision. Inspire and motivate team members to support this vision and the supporting goals.

· Adherence to all corporate policies regarding ethics, personal conduct, safety, and job performance.

· The position reports directly to the General Manager and to Corporate Finance.
