| Description:
FUNCTION Directs, supervises and coordinates all manufacturing activities at the operations level. Ensures effective use of personnel, facilities and conformance to the quality standards set forth within the Quality Standards Manual DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Develops and implements policies and procedures for production operations. 2. Plans, examines, analyzes, and evaluates production operations. 3. Prepares production reports, reviews operating and financial data and makes recommendations for improvements. 4. Directs and coordinates through subordinates work and production schedules. 5. Evaluates work performance and initiates personnel actions such as recruitment, selection, promotions, transfers and disciplinary measures. 6. Resolves grievances, interprets and disseminates policies and procedures. 7. Investigates customer complaints and proactively participates in problem resolution. 8. Participates in management meetings and contributes to the business decision making processes of the division. 9. Develops, implements and assists with continuous improvement and/or special projects MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma with some college courses in business management or equivalent education or equivalent experience. Degree preferred. Should have 7+ years progressive experience within a plastics injection molding environment that includes supervisory responsibility. Should have excellent communication/interpersonal skills, be detail oriented, organized, flexible and computer literate. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Should be able to work the standard 40 hour work week, plus overtime as required to complete assignments on a timely basis; should be able to sit or stand for extended periods of time; should be able to transport oneself to and from offices of other personnel, and travel when necessary. Should be able to read, write and converse in English; be able to see with or without corrective lenses; have the ability to think logically and be able to lift and carry various office items up to 30 pounds. ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS Working environment is a plastics manufacturing facility which houses plastic injection molding machines. Should be able to tolerate fumes and particulate generated from various types of plastics. Work stations are equipped with adequate lighting, cooling/heating and equipment that is in good working condition. Should be able to work constructively and cheerfully in an environment that may be stressful due to adversarial situations.
