Job Description Business Description Our client is one of the worlds leading suppliers of high-tenacity polyester fibers and fabrics. With manufacturing facili¬ties in North America, Asia and Europe, its products are used in a wide range of consumer and industrial applications. The SAP BW/BPS Senior Analyst/Team Leader reports directly to the Global ERP Leader. Position: SAP BW/BPS Senior Analyst/Team Leader Responsibilities: Position is responsible for overall Business Warehouse (BW) and Business Planning & Simulation (BPS) project leadership, enhancements and on-going functional support. Manage BW/BPS Functional project plans from conception to completion. Act as a liaison between Global SAP Leader, Finance Leadership , Sales and Operations Leadership, end users and consultants Provide direct hands-on support and analysis required for project execution and functional support Deliver BW/BPS projects on time and within budget Provide reporting of project team status to both SAP Global ERP leader and business leadership teams Participate in making recommendations to management for future enhancements that will support business analytical and reporting needs. Responsible for the collection, analysis and documentation of SAP BW/BPS Functional business processes and requirements Recommend BW/BPS solutions to support business objectives Maintain effective project plans Ability to develop and energize multi disciplined work teams and apply new skills/techniques to business needs Position will require hands-on maintenance and development of the BW/BPS environment, but also manage contract resources for major projects. Requirements: Candidate should have completed 3+ years experience in BW applications and some experience in developing and implementing BPS applications. Experience configuring, implementing, and supporting the BCS component of SAP SEM is also desired Candidate should have proven BW hands on experience in at least 2 projects Candidate should have a deep understanding of BW reporting, technical set up for data extractors and info cubes and work experience with BPS application development Ability to analyze, code, and test ABAP programs strongly desired. Candidate must have strong financial and accounting skills and understand the concept of financial consolidations and elimination entries Candidate should have a basic understanding of core SAP R3 functional modules and their integration with BW Skill in analyzing project issues, identifying alternatives, and overcoming issues Effective team leadership, interpersonal and communication skills Effective organizational, management influence skills and ability to function in a collaborative environment Skill in oral and written communications Ability to work effectively with third parties (internal and external) Ability to translate business issues/ requirements and objectives into solutions Ability to quickly assess the impact and opportunity for BW/BPS to meet reporting requirements and analysis requirements. Ability to work directly with the project team to analyze and document business requirements and develop functional specifications for new reporting requirements and ability to develop new reports, queries and structures to support reporting and consolidation requirements Knowledge of MS Project or equivalent project management tool Experience/Education/Required/Sought: Minimum of 3-5 years demonstrated experience in SAP BW Knowledge and experience in implementation of BPS applications. BA/BS in Computer Science/Accounting or related discipline required. SAP ABAP coding experience.
